Cambodia has a rich history, steeped in culture, indeed once the Khmer were the all powerful symbol of civilization in South East Asia. Recent history however has not been so proud. This country was systematically destroyed by Pol Pot in the 1970s, and is still struggling to recover. Spend a little time there however, and you soon discover some of that Khmer magic.
