I had a business event in Vancouver recently and decided to add in a weekend for the trip – why not! So I brought my gear along and took a few photos from Vancouver, Squamish and Whistler. Really a wonderful part of the world! Vancouver is a lovely city, which reminds me a little of Brisbane in Australia. The scenery is much better though!!
I must have walked about 25km around Vancouver and Stanley park, but it was awesome. I was also lucky with the weather.I highly recommend a trip and will certainly need to go back again.
So anyways, these were quick and dirty shots on a business trip, and the light was very harsh, so don’t expect perfection but here are my favorites!

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to have a week in Shanghai for business reasons. I managed to get out and see the city a little bit, and take some photos! Shanghai is now the largest city is the world. I feel very fortunate that I had a little spare time there. I hope to go back and see more of China soon! Here are some of my highlights!

Hey everyone!
Look what I found!
Sigma 24mm 1.4 Art
Its the 24mm f1.4 Art lens! A highly awaited lens, and so far I’m one of the lucky few to get one. Sigma is struggling to keep up with demand, and many shops run out as soon as they arrive. I got this from Digidirect in Melbourne, they only had two left, and had sold six in two days.
This lens is great for my style of photography, and I look forward to testing it more! A great lens for travel photography.
I hope to complete a full review of the lens soon, once I test it thoroughly. For now though, it feels much like the other Art lenses, which Sigma have released. So far the AF seems pretty good at default settings.
Anyways, more to come.
Here are a few quick snaps from yesterday, all wide open at f1.4:

Hey everyone! I have created an album from Australia. I hope to make albums from all the places I’ve traveled, but this one is special. Australia is home to me, and I’ve lived here 15 years so far. Below are some tasters. Be sure to checkout the album here:

There have been celebrations across the city of Melbourne. Today we went to China town, to get amongst the action! It seemed like there was loin dancing on every corner, it turns out that restaurants arrange to get the lion dance in front of their place for good fortune. the sound of the firecrackers was deafening! I used a 50mm 1.4 lens for most of the images here.
Took the opportunity to take some portraits today as well. Vanessa is wearing an Ao Dai, Vietnamese traditional dress.
Hope you enjoy!

Some images from the spooky abandoned Bradmill. The old factory is in Melbourne’s inner city, and the property is set to be sold for $120m AUD, but negotiations seem to have stalled… Good place for photography in the meantime!
